Door County Scenery Q. What are the rates and what dates are available for rental?

A. You can get the rates and see what dates the Ellmann House is rented on the Rates and Dates page.

Q. What do we need to bring with us?

A. You must bring your own linens to use at the Ellmann House. We provide a starter for paper products but you will need more for a one week stay. You can buy all your food and beverages and other vacation necessities in Door County or bring them yourself.

Q. Where is the Ellmann House?

A. The Ellmann House is located in the heart of Fish Creek (where all the actions is) in Door County northeast of Green Bay, Wisconsin on Highway 42 about 1.5 hours drive. Go to the Location Page for a clickable map with more maps and directions.

Door County Parks Q. Where is the _____________?

A. beach? Go 2 blocks to Main street and turn right 2 blocks for the beach on the left.

A. Sunset Park? Go 2 blocks to Main street and turn left 4 blocks for the park straight ahead.

A. Grocery Store? Go 2 blocks to Main street and turn left 1 block for the Grocery Store on the right. There are other large super markets in Egg Harbor and Sister Bay, too.

A. Restaurants? Go 2 blocks to Main street and turn left or right for lots of restaurants. Naturally, you can drive to many others on the Door County peninsula or use the well-equipped kitchen to have your own meals.

A. the Docks? Go 2 blocks to Main street and jog left and one more block to the town and other docks. There is a boat ramp there for public use, too.

A. the Parks? Go 2 blocks to Main street and turn right and a few blocks and one curve will bring you to the entrance of Peninsula Park, one of nicest in Door County. There are state and town parks throughout the peninsula for your enjoyment.

A. Founders Square? Go 1 block down and 1 block over and you are at Founders Square. You can see Founders Square from the porch of the Ellmann House.

A. Shopping District? Go 2 block down to Main Street and you will see great shops for everything imaginable. Travel around the county and you can find more shops, galleries, stores and interesting places.

A. Outdoor Rental Equipment? Go to Peninsula State Park and at Nicolet Bay Beach Concessions there are rentals for bikes, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and sail boats. You can also rent equipment right in Fish Creek at Nor Door Sports.

A. Golf Courses? There are 11 golf courses in Door County. Find more information and their web sites at www.doorcountygolf.com.
